Make Handcrafted Designs So That Your Clients Say WOW

We all know there is something unique and different about first impressions, and this is critical in terms of your website. If your website doesn't have that X factor in terms of design, you will most likely struggle with engaging the visitors- even if you have a great functionality on the site.
Hence, design is highly important when it comes down to grabbing the attention of your customers. In other words, your visitors should come and say "WOW". When choosing a designer for your website, make sure he is following some of these factors in order to provide the best service possible to you and your company:

  1. Read about the Latest Trends - Make sure your designer is in with the now and is familiar with the latest trends in web design. For example, use of smart phones, tablets, iPhones and iPads have changed the way we designed in the past. New technology is needed to keep up with ever growing technology!

  2. Understand Client Requirements - Before designing a website, your designer should understand the purpose and goal of the client, or in this case, your goals and purposes. Understanding what you want to provide to your website users is critical in achieving a great web design concept and layout.

  3. Create User-Friendly Layouts - Designers should always consider how the user will be interacting with the website. For example, does the user find it easy to order or inquire about the products? If he understands the actions of the website visitors, your designer can create a user-friendly layout plan and result in more conversion.

  4. Use Color Psychology: Colors are one of the most important factors that you should consider before designing a website. A good color scheme leads to more sales and conversions. Try to use three to four colors in a website. Too much use of colors can decrease the number of impressions on the website, resulting in customers abruptly leaving the website.

  5. Images and Graphics - Images and graphics are an important part of any website. As they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words". Designers should use appropriate images that are related to your business. Keep images and graphics as close as possible to the related text. For example, if you are showing a product on a page you should keep it close to its description and specifications. Using images in correct formats and making them smaller in size(kb) will result in sharper, higher resolution.

  6. Navigation - Use a simple navigation menu so that the user of the website can easily navigate other pages. If people are not able to access your website easily than the effectiveness of your website is nonexistent.

  7. Use Kiss-metrics - Kiss stands for Keep It Simple Stupid! Or, Keep It Simple & Straightforward. Simple websites are the first choice for every user. Most popular sites are always simple- look at Google, twitter and Facebook. They are perfect examples! To keep a website simple, your designer will need to focus on content distribution. Simple websites are easy to navigate on multiple devices & resolutions such as desktop or a mobile phone. It takes less time to load and uses less disk space.

Above are some of the factors that designers take into consideration before constructing a website. We hope this helps in order for you to find the right designer for your next big website!
